Finally captured Mr Tui in my Kākā Beak hunting nectar amongst its flowers. (Swipe left) He brought his girlfriend over today but she stuck to foraging on the last few Kōwhai flowers that survived the Gales last night. Great to finally have some native plants mature to support nectar feeding birds in my garden. The Harakeke doesn’t look like it’s going to flower this season as only planted during lockdown.
