Tui spoilt for choice with the abundance of Harakeke pollen on the South Coast of Wellington. Native Tui making the most of an abundance of Kowhai flowers this Spring. Tui’s preferred diet is nectar and honeydew, and they will often shift to, or commute more than 10 km daily to good nectar sources such as Kowhai, Flax, Rata, Pohutukawa, Gums and Banksias.
