A suspicious look from a Male Korimako or Bellbird. Super excited to photograph this Korimako this morning as these beautiful birds are quite rare in Wellington - it’s part of a pair which is extra special as neither are banded. Until 2001 Korimako were considered functionally extinct in the Wellington area until being reintroduced to Zealandia Ecosanctuary. Thank you to Patricia and Steve for inviting me to visit their incredible garden to photograph them.
