Salvin’s Mollymawk shot on a trip to Otago Penninsula, with Monarch wildlife tours last November. 19 species of Albatross are reported to be endangered - Threats to their survival include oil spills, loss of habitat, predators, climate change, and eating or getting tangled in plastic or nets. 13 varieties of Albatross breed in the New Zealand region, more than anywhere else in the world. They spend 85% of their lives at sea returning to land to breed and raise young. 70-200mm cropped.
