Description
Allusive Reef Heron or Matuku Moana are Native to New Zealand. Massive crop as approx 100metres away which on my 100-400mm 5.6 was a stretch as it’s well camouflaged amongst the rocks. According to NZ Birds they have a conservation status of Nationally endangered with only 300-500 birds in New Zealand remaining.
